The Fall 2012 Coral Trend Works All Year

October 5, 2012 by

Coral is often associated with spring and summer, complemented by beach-inspired shades like teal or sand. However, it’s a current trend for a good reason: it falls right into place with warmer, rich shades like mahogany and rust for fall and even works well with charcoal gray for winter.

You may not want to update your house with each season the way you may add new pieces to your wardrobe, but coral is a trendy shade that works for all seasons, glowing in the summer light and adding warmth to a room in the cooler months when the sun is lower and the lighting shifts.

Use coral as an accent color in a room of neutrals (possibly along with teal, a complementary shade), or paint the walls and let it be the main color in a room.
