Sophisticated San Fransisco urban high rise apartment

January 24, 2011 by

This urban high-rise apartment was designed for a couple with grown up children as their San Francisco pied-a-terre – a sophisticated, urban retreat designed to accentuate the owners’ extensive art collection and the breathtaking San Francisco Bay and downtown views.

The main rooms are situated on the perimeter to access views and light, creating an inner “cube”, containing services and entertaining area and kitchen. Limited, yet repeating, materials and colors define and clarify spaces, with an unusual mix of Buddhist and Persian sculptures and rich walnut furniture.

Designed by Zack De Vito, the apartment is located on Russian Hill, an area renowned for its fabulous views of the Golden Gate Bridge. This can be seen perfectly through the wide windows from the comfort of the modern living room.
