Functioning on completely independently renewable energy sources, BLOOM by Olga Kalugina is an ingenious mobile home of the future. With a lush lime green and black exterior and interior, the module is as stylish as it is innovative in its design.
Equipped with solar batteries, air and liquid solar collectors, water treating filters, a slow-burning furnace and a dust processing system, the home uses less energy than standard homes, a totally eco-friendly module suitable for up to six persons.
The complete module can rotate 360 degrees and it is possible to interconnect it with other BLOOMs. The living space includes three private living quarters, a dining space, sanitary-and-hygiene block and kitchen area. Seating and sleeping is done via folding shelf which can be transformed from a sofa into a bed.
Mobile homes aren’t something which is usually thought of as a residence of the wealthy and design conscious, but new and innovative designs like BLOOM look set to change that mindset in the future.
