Benjamin Moore has declared its “Lemon Sorbet” the color of the year. You can expect it to show up in all kinds of places this year. Even if you aren’t a big fan of yellow, lemon is a lovely choice.
It isn’t a bright, neon tone that could be overwhelming in anything but a very small amount in a room. Pale yellows run the risk of appearing washed out if they only appear on small objects in a space.
A lemon color occupies the middle ground. It can give a touch of spring to any room without going overboard.

How much lemon should you add to you space? It’s strictly a matter of personal opinion. This color is going to show up in various style elements.
Look for it in wallpaper and on paint chips. If you don’t want to commit to something that is as long-term as a yellow wall, consider some lemon-toned accessories like a vase, lamp or lampshade, or ornament.

The easiest way to brighten up your room with something in a lemon-like tone is to treat yourself to a bouquet of spring flowers in this bright tone.
Arrange them in a vase or a bowl and see if you like the color enough to have it in your room on a regular basis. It’s an affordable way to try this color in the room to see how you like it before committing to buying other items. And we already know you’re worth it!

I love using bits of yellow in the home. It’s such a happy and warm color!
Yellow and blue accents are my favorite colors to use during spring time!
My hallway is a deep yellow with a beige undertone so in the sunshine it’s really cheerful and in the shade it’s subtle. I have had it for years and it makes me happy every season and never falls out of style for me.
