LED lit stairs by Interactive Furniture

April 11, 2010 by

The brainchild of German designer, Edo Kriegsmann, this LED is a concept he deisgned for his own home under his Interactive Furniture brand. It is a smart lighting system, which detects when a person steps on the stairs and activates LED lights to light their way as they go.

Think of the Michael Jackson video for Billy Jean where the pavement lights up as he steps on it, this concept is very similar. Interactive lighting is still a largely untouched idea in regular home designs, but with a bit of electrical knowhow and a creative mind you too could install a similar system.

If you like these LED interactive stairs, you will probably also like the interactive mirror and the interactive bed.
