Kurumba – charming Maldives luxury presidential villa

July 13, 2011 by

Kurumba is a luxury resort set on a tropical island in the North Male Atoll, located a brief 10-minute speedboat ride away from the airport and Male, the Maldivian Capital. Dotted with coconut palms (the island’s namesake), Kurumba was the first private island resort founded in The Maldives. It has lush tropical gardens, white sandy beaches and charming villas set in a luxury Maldivian resort.

The Presidential Villa is one of eight styles of accommodation available, ranging from Superior to the Royal Residence, each with easy access to the beach. There is a master bedroom on the upper-level with a king-sized four-poster bed overlooking the beach and ocean. This level also has a walk-in dressing room, a bathroom with glass-walled shower and marble-sided bathtub, and a Jacuzzi set in the thatched-roof tower.

On the ground floor there is also a cream and brown large sitting room off the beachfront veranda, which leads out to the beach, lagoon and a private swimming pool in an enclosed courtyard, ensuring the entire complex is an environment for relaxation.
