Gray granite contemporary home with tinted windows

July 12, 2011 by

A new project from A-Cero, the exterior walls of this unique contemporary home in Northwest Spain are clad in gray granite with a stylishly obscure architectural layout (the sides of each building either sloping inwards or outwards), featuring black tinted windows to absorb the suns strong rays.

The second level of the house extends to the building on the lower end as a pergola, giving a shades retreat to the porch, which offers access to the swimming pool. An cantilever chairs the window of the kitchen and service area.

Unbelievably, the ground floor houses all the following rooms – a lobby, living room, guest room, lounge area, an office, the kitchen, laundry room, garage, plant rooms, bedroom and bathroom service, three retailers, dining room, games room, two bedrooms, two bathrooms and two porches. All spread across an area of 550m2.

Upstairs doesn’t cover as much space – 300m2 – where there is the dealer, master bedroom, 2 closets, 2 bathrooms, two multi-purpose rooms, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, two terraces and distributors. From the outside the home looks quite plain and minimalist, but the interior has all the luxury components of a modern A-Cero home, sculptural character, contemporary furniture choices and neat layouts.

Love the tinted glass, but doesn’t it make the interior dark?
