Shoeboxes turned Jewelry Racks via The JAR Collection

One man’s trash is another man’s treasure; it’s a cliche for a reason, and the reason is: it’s true. There’s perhaps no greater realm than home decor to illustrate the point; particularly in a budget-minded era of conservation of both funds and materials, do-it-yourselfers and designers alike are getting more creative than ever when it comes to what to put on a wall.

Those jewelry racks up top? They used to be shoe boxes. The magazine holder above?  Look closely; it’s really just a bucket.

Turning tennis rackets into mirrors and coffee filters into wall art might sound a little wacky, but as evidenced by this array of inventive upcycling projects, proper execution can make anything look good. The devil might be in the details, but the angel’s in the inspiration, and this quartet of repurposed materials is absolutely heavenly.
