Dynamic modern home built around a swimming pool

December 24, 2010 by

A stunning modern home with white architecture and interior, this dynamic house is built to surround a swimming pool in a unique and creative quadrangle. With contemporary sun loungers around the pool and an unusual female sculpture, the whole area is more like that of a luxury resort than a home.

Designed by Belgium architecture firm, Beel & Archtergael, Villa V is mostly white and glass (with abundant floor to ceiling windows). The design can get away with such transparent tones because the blue shades of the pool and sky, coupled with the green grass around the perimeters and bushes and shrubs, gives the impression that the white isn’t necessarily the primary color.

Inside, the rooms are open plan and spacious, with black and white modern furniture, including the iconic ball chair by Aarnio Eero and a neat futuristic dining table and chair set.

The pool is accessible from all areas of the ground floor rooms, even including the garage, which also has high windows, with the views of the expensive motor vehicles inside acting as an eye-catching and splendid backdrop to the swimming pool.
