When the proprietors of Etsy shop Boots ‘n Gus say, “We’re addicted to vintage housewares, books, music, art…” it doesn’t take much sleuthing to find the proof in the homemade pudding.
Shop owners Jeff and Mark create their wares by hand in their Michigan workshop, and although their catalogue is relatively vast, today we’re focusing on their mason jar lighting creations.
The tried-and-true staple of Southern living has been enjoying broader popularity thanks to their increased use as tea light holders at rustic weddings, and that repurposing of the old-fashioned jam jars has now extended to long-term projects like chandeliers and sconces.
Boots ‘n Gus, named after the owners’ cats, offers some spectacular examples of the trend. Here’s a sampling of their stellar work in the realm of originally designed, upcycled lighting.

These lights are Delicious! there almost as sweet as the jam they were intended for.
