In our modern day world of furniture that is oversized, overstuffed and often overly inflated with materials, there is a designer who thinks in the opposite fashion.

Korean designer Seung Yong Song has created ‘Dami’ basket-like furniture that shows off its incredible form while being produced from eco-friendly materials that look awesome! The Dami collection beckons to be touched and explored, take a closer look at this basket inspired furniture for your favorite room.

Designer Seung Yong Song designed the Dami collection and named it from the Korean verb meaning “put in”. The collection consists of a floor stand, table stand, bench, stool and different size tables to hold your favorite drink or coffee table book.

The unique zero carbon material of the Dami collection is light and durable and is available with covers if desired.

‘It shows visual beauty as well as the structure of Korean traditional grille which has light and sturdy durability, and the combination of new eco-friendly materials called Valchromat and CNC processing technique make it possible to materialize modern object with traditional beauty.”… Seung Yong Song.

While the minimalistic geometry of Song’s pieces may not be for everyone, they do speak to homeowners who love their furniture simplistic and without fuss. The basket inspired design is free from ornamentation and allows the rest of your home decor to speak without competing with the furniture in the room.

Song’s Dami furniture collection is a beautiful example of furniture having clean lines without being boring. His love for simplistic forms has stemmed from his studies in Paris and now he’s a Professor in Seoul, Korea.

Whether you enjoy unique finds or you yearn for furniture that speaks to you, the Dami collection might be exactly what you have been looking for. Zero carbon furniture that looks clean and modern. We’d say that sums it up, simply.
