These new stools by Thorsten Franck may look very cool, but are they really comfortable? With a weighted rounded base the Out of Balance stools are designed to keep the person sitting in a state of perpetual motion.
Constructed from a material thickness of 3.6mm of thin oak veneer, the stools are inspired by the shape of a tumbler and are aimed at an environment where people will have short and casual interactions; as in bars and meeting places in a modern office, rather than a seat which is designed for complete comfort.






These are quite fun actually. Though I wonder how they work for the drunk bar guests …
