This Labor Day weekend link round-up, appropriately enough, is all about taking a load off and just plain sitting down.

First up, with both the week and the month drawing to a close, Design Milk brings us August’s most popular post — a reverie on the most comfortable chairs it could find, including the one shown above, called “Hanabi.”

Of particular note from Design Milk’s roundup is the floor pillow/lounge chair hybrid offered by Woodnotes:

West Elm celebrates the holiday weekend with a sweeping 15 percent markdown on all sorts of goodies, including these kids’ monogrammed scoop-back chairs, perfect for laboring (get it?!) over homework this school year:

Elsewhere on the web, FresHome poses the question, “cork stool or cork table?” and lets you determine the answer

…and last but not least,  if you’re in the market for something chic that’s larger than a lounge chair but smaller than a couch, look no further than the Nate Berkus studio sofa.
