Unlike some other modern furniture designs, these Helix chairs by Karmelina Martina actually look inviting, comfortable, and like somewhere you would actually like to sit. She designed it for Moroso, an Italian manufacturer. The Helix chair is made from cold-cured polyurethane foam padding over a steel frame and is available several colors and patterns.

Martina has worked with flame-retardant foam injected into an internal wooden frame to make these Lucky Twist stools. Made to look like sculptured rock, they make a colorful addition to a living room, bedroom, or rec room. Buba is a bench fashioned from cold-cured polyurethane foam which is available in fabric upholstery or leather over an internal steel frame. The bench cover is not removable for this product. The inspiration for its design was taken from the Hermès Talaris saddle, but hopefully doesn’t come with a similar $9,000 price tag for this linear seating option.

Martina also designed the Miss Sarajevo sofa. It features the same linear style as her other work, with long, low cushions on a rigid shell. The metal feet of the sofa are made from chrome-plated metal. The look is clean, but also very comfortable, and you can personalize this sofa by ordering it in your choice of several plain and multi-colored fabrics.
