The Krone Hanssen Wood Stubbe Poufs ($260) may look like they’re straight from the forest, made from rugged wood and a questionable enhancement for a living room. However, they’re really made from recycled polyester.
That realistic “wood” look is actually a photo print, and instead of a hard ottoman that threatens to deposit splinters in your Achilles heel just as you get comfortable, it’s smooth yet sturdy enough to support your feet or act as a side table or seat.
There are two types to choose from; the björk, the taller, thinner of the two that resembles birch, and the furu, which is wider, shorter, and resembles pine. The cover zips off for cleaning.
