This fantastic ultra modern living room is by Hungarian architectural and interior design firm Achikron, a fascinating and eclectic blend of contemporary elements with Buddhist furnishings.
The media center is the most stylish aspect of the room, a wall to wall recess of grey brick and tobacco wood, with a built in unit made from pine and black lacquer to house the flat screen TV. The other wall incorporates the same tones of tobacco, pine and black and holds statue of Buddha.
The flooring is a dark polished wenge color, with a thick brown rug and comfortable dark sage colored sofa. Behind the sofa is a large three-piece art mural with the Buddha’s face split into three portions. This looks stunning on the grey wall, and conjures images of peaceful Asian resorts.
