One part light and one part bench or ottoman, respectively, the LiteBox and LiteCube from Barcelona-based lighting design & manufacturing company Carpyen offer both respite and illumination on a warm summer night.

Breathing new life into patio seating, the duo of lighted seats are presented in white polyethylene for indoor/outdoor use; with 9 meters of cable apiece, they can be grouped and arranged in any number of fashions to provide a cool visual effect to an al fresco gathering after dark.

For those who want a dash of color, the cube and box are also available with red, green, yellow and blue bulbs to liven things up. The low-energy furnishings can eliminate the need for as many patio lights, providing a progressive and conversational solution to traditional alternatives.

Per Carpyen, the pieces are also safe for use indoors.
