Despite the myriad of books, websites, and television shows telling us how to search out clutter and banish it from our homes and our lives, we still seem to accumulate our fair share of stuff. No matter how much closet space we have or baskets or containers we buy, it never seems like enough.
Enter the storage bed. We wish we had something like this growing up. Bedroom cleaning would have been a simple matter of taking all the junk (um, stuff) from the room and putting it in the nifty storage area under the bed and closing it up again.
Since we know you would be using it for a much more productive purpose than that, it is the perfect place to store blankets, out-of season clothing items, or anything else you don’t need to access on a regular basis.

Once you have finished placing your items in the storage bed, you simply replace the mattress. The advantage to this type of system is that you aren’t adding any more “stuff” to your room – the bed is already there.

If you want a storage bed with lots of drawers, consider a platform bed. This one from Home & Bedroom Furniture has 12 drawers, so you won’t be lacking for places to stow your stuff.
This model is available in a twin, full, or queen size, and is an option for smaller rooms which don’t have a lot of space for a separate dresser, or when you simply need more storage in a bedroom.

Without a boxspring, I wonder how comfortable those mattresses actually are to sleep on? But the drawers are a great space-saver!
