Start Planning Your Holiday Table Settings

November 23, 2012 by

Now that the Holiday Season is starting, entertaining is on the agenda for many of us. We want to make sure our friends and family are treated to a warm welcome and good food when they come to visit.

Part of the experience is setting an attractive table for your guests, and it can be easy to get carried away thinking you need to put out every serving piece you own that features a Santa or a snow man at the same time.

This holiday table sticks with a few coordinating colors. The red flowers in the centerpiece add a splash of color and the greenery ties in with the placemats. The look is very elegant.

If you are using special holiday dinnerware, You will want to make that element the focal point. The tablecloth or placemats should not have a competing pattern that will distract the eye.

Since you would only use these plates during the Holiday Season, enjoy them often when welcoming family and friends, or when enjoying a meal or snack for yourself.

This type of colorful holiday plate is just the thing for serving your cookies, candies, fudge or other delicacies that may only appear once a year. (Just as well, because it takes just about that long to burn of the weight many of us gain between Thanksgiving and the start of the New Year.)

Do you have special Christmas dinnerware, or do you use a tablecloth, centerpiece, and other items to make your Holiday table special?
