Trends may come and go, interest in particular styles may rise and fall, and fads flit in and out of our lives at about the same rate as the seasons themselves. But thankfully, some things simply endure, no matter what’s happening around them.

The round coffee table in all its iterations is a perfect example of a perennial classic. This home furnishing basic can be fashioned from common household items for free, purchased in the finest of antique hardwoods from an estate sale for thousands, and procured in an infinite array of materials, colors, styles and price points in between.

Today, we take an appreciative look at a trio of classics in three different presentations: a basic wood circle on legs, a super-suburban upholstered disc just begging us to put our feet up, and a handmade gathering of sticks fashioned into a rustic-chic object d’art.

To everything, there might be a season, but these classics stand the test of time, the changing of the leaves, and the evolution of taste, providing the perfect anchor in our living spaces as the years go by.
