Notturno A New York skyscraper sofa

August 28, 2010 by

Notturno A New York sofa by Cassina is a sofa completely different from any other. The color, layout and overall design mimicks the New York skyline at night.

The main frame of the sofa is manufactured from plywood and beech wood, equipped with belts, and the padding is made from polyurethane foam and polyester wadding. The covers are made from a special fabric, processed to resemble a tapestry, and complicated weaving technique is used to produce 14,000 warp and weft stitches, which generate high definition images.

With a large rounded back to represent the full moon behind skyscrapers, this dark and fascinating sofa would be a good addition to a modern gothic interior design.
