Using warm colors brown and creamy colors like mocha and camel adds a cozy feel to living spaces. As we see in this small combined living room and dining area in a modern condominium in Aspen, Colorado, the blend of such earthy tones makes for a more homely interior.
Named Clarendon 5, the interior transformation of this dated three bedroom, three bathroom condo was designed by Rowland Broughton. The dining chairs have a stylish snakeskin style fabric, and the oval table is made from a dark oak; an almost exact match to the wooden floors.
In the living space the sofa is in cream and the three armchairs in a dark brown. This comfortable furniture and the complimentary artwork adorning the walls, make for a contemporary as well as personalized homely interior space, a warm retreat from the cold Aspen winds.
