Brown and cream Manhattan loft apartment living room

February 8, 2011 by

Designed by S Russell Groves Architects, this chic loft apartment is situated in the trendy area of Manhattan, where the West Village meets Soho and Tribeca.

The goal for this pied-a-terre was to provide an easy, comfortable, but low maintenance, environment for the jet set owners. The bright open space of the living room maximizes the area by utilizing a streamlined style, rich textures, eye-catching color and high technology.

Featuring a melange of furniture, the living room incorporates materials such as polished chrome, bright enamel and warm leather; all set against a striking wall-to-wall walnut media storage unit and white sculptural Prouve’ light fixture. The heavily grained walnut unit discretely houses not only the client’s large collection of music and other media, but also a state-of the art audio and video equipment.

Brown and cream interiors always offer a balanced match. Mixed with other neutral tones like grey, black and white, like this stylish apartment design, the room is given a warm and rich feel.
