Tile Depot – What your tiles say about your kitchen

Using colored tiles in your kitchen can help achieve a number of significant moods. When designing a new kitchen considering which color tiles to choose is an important factor to the overall style. Whether you choose patterned or blank colored tiles, it’s advisable to think carefully about what kind of theme you’re hoping to have before purchasing your tiles.

Lighter colors help give the room a cooler feel, and can give the impression of a larger room, so if you have a small kitchen space lighter colored tiles would be the preferred choice. Darker tiles give the kitchen a more mysterious and masculine appeal and are better suited to larger kitchens with abundant lighting.

Country style kitchens are very popular, so for such a design choose rustic tiles to compliment the furniture. Kitchens in bachelor pads are typically dark, so black or grey tiles go well here. Feminine kitchens, of course, incorporate softer tones such as pinks, yellows and oranges. Perhaps the most popular style of kitchen tiles is to have the tiles multicolored with the occasional patterned tile in the design, such as fruits and other ingredients found in the kitchen.

There is so many different styles of kitchen tiles and adhesives to choose from, so finding the exact color or pattern for your new kitchen design should not pose a problem.
