Minimal kitchen design inside a clock tower

May 23, 2011 by

Probably the last place you’d expect to find a kitchen, the Clock Tower building in New York is now actually a 6,500-square-foot apartment, the most expensive in Brooklyn, and the old machine room for the clocks has been transformed into a stunning minimalist kitchen design, with breath-taking views through the old clock face.

Designed by the aptly named Minimal, the kitchen layout is one of spaciousness and simplicity. The flooring is a warm beech color, and the kitchen furniture is from their Glam range, employing environmentally friendly materials from from Italy. All white, with a stainless steel hood and worktop, the massive island acts as both a food preparation area and dining space.

All the kitchen appliance are made by Gaggenau, the world`s finest luxury appliance manufacturer. Everything in this unique luxury kitchen is high end and of the highest quality craftsmanship to justify the $25m price tag for the apartment.
