Green Living Kitchen – a solution for recycling energy and water

April 21, 2011 by

Created by Ludovica + Roberto Palomba, the concept of this original kitchen design is to fuse technology and ecology closer together, integrating each section of space to recycle energy and water.

Energy efficient and eco-friendly, the Green Living kitchen not only incorporates eco-friendly technology, but also takes on stylish modern furniture design aspects, as seen in the contemporary furniture, advanced appliances and systems which work together in an innovative inter-connected way.

This kitchen promises to divert 60% of the water and heat generated other nearby appliances. The warm refrigerator coils are used to heat the water in the dishwasher. Waste water from the sink is recycled to water the plants and spices. This process should shave 24% off the homeowner’s energy bill in the long run.

It’s always inspiring to see home concepts which make for a more economical and green way of living, and the Green living kitchen may give a clue as to how our kitchens will perform in the future.
