We’re pleased to showcase another revolutionary kitchen concept by Olga Kalugina. Like her Accordion kitchen table, this futuristic fridge design goes beyond what we are familiar with traditional kitchen appliances.
Designed for Nord, the fridge has two darkened triangular perspex windows which light up when the fridge is turned on. The shelving inside is a lime green which, along with the white, gives a nice soothing effect. The shelves also rotate, so there’s no reaching over foods to access items from the back, and the height is easily adjustable without having to remove the items off it. To the left the shelving allows for bottles to be stacked on top of each other, creating a wine cellar effect.
Maybe someday our homes of the future will all have revolutionary fridges such as this, and incorporate more colors to brighten up the white of traditional fridges.
