In theory the Si bed should have been in the 10 minimalist bed designs post, but I ommitted it as I thought it deserved a write-up all of it’s own.

The Si bed, quite simply, is the ultimate minimal bed design . Built from old oak, leather and refined steel, it is the creation of Redwitz.

There is literally nothing to it. The headboard, made from rows of slats, is simple yet stunningly effective. The mattress sits inside the old oak base, making it appear flat as though it may only be a sheet. The style of the bed has a distinct Oriental look, making it an ideal aquisition to an Asian bedroom design
