Coastal Cool Color Palette from Sherwin-WIlliams

If there were ever a subject matter expert in the realm of wall paint, Sherwin Williams — or, at least, the minds behind the brand — would most certainly fit the bill. The Cleveland-based company has been in the paint business for nearly a century and a half since its founding in 1866, eventually growing to become the largest paint manufacturer in the US.

And if you’re in the mood to take your bedroom to the beach this summer — or vice versa, more realistically — its “Coastal Chic” palette is the perfect place to start.

Comprised of 20 cool and decidedly seashore-inspired colors, the collection pulls together the best of both land and sea in a soothing, natural array of hues perfect for lulling the overworked mind to sleep. As Sherwin-Williams itself describes the series, “cool, maritime blues and dune grass greens create a fresh, breezy feeling that beckons barefoot comfort.”

If you’re toying with the idea of setting your bedroom walls afloat in blissful blues and seagrass greens but aren’t quite ready to make the dive, the classic American paint company offers a feature on its website that allows you to upload a photo of the room you’re considering painting and test the palette’s waters, so to speak. It also offers a store locator and a host of color selection tools to help you take the plunge.

II love these. But with painting, its always the problem of having to stick with the color you chose. How often can we repaint?
