Perhaps the ultimate in luxury baths, this beautiful and enigmatic bathtub is carved from a single block of pure crystal white stone. Sculptured by Paolo Baldi, the bath is one of two which were carved from a ten-ton block of crystal transported intact to Italy from the Amazon and was then sculpted with diamond cuts. Two meters in length and 55cm in height, the tub is large enough to comfortably fit three people.
First shown at Salone del Mobile in 2008 one was bought by a billionaire Russian magnate, who paid $858,763 (700,000 Euros) for the bath. The second was created especially for Harrods, where it was put on display in their window.
Renowned for their luxury household items carved from expensive minerals, Baldi create the most luxurious bathroom items in the world, like the beautiful bathtub made from gold and amethyst, each piece is aimed at the very highest end market.
