Line Bathroom is one of the bathroom designs from a series of three – Ebb, Loop and of course Line. The Line Bathroom, together with its two sister bathrooms were designed by the British/Irish design collective UsTogether. The first in the series was Ebb, and then came Loop and finally Line. Being the latest addition to the range, Line is “a solid form centered on the concept of diminishing lines, the structures of the sink and baths are not interrupted by fixtures”. What is commonly seen in all the bathroom series is the fact on how the structures are fixed on the wall. The structure is suspended on the wall by hidden brackets and the majority of the piping is covered within the material itself, leaving clean, crisp lines from every angle.
The Line has an interesting water flow. Their water flow methods are designed in such a way to hide it from view and are motion activated. Each form is highlighted by hidden panels with various color options. For the bath, it fills from a waterfall like flow down over the surface of the light panel whereas the sink fills up with a four-flow option which are: a blade of water for washing hands, a light shower for rinsing and hot and cold jets of water for shaving or brushing teeth.
The Line bathroom uses a technology called the LG Hi-MACS which has helped enormously in US Together’s goal of unifying bath, basin and shower because of its ability to be seamlessly joined together. The idea here is seamlessness and versatility. The versatility aspect is seen from the material which allows artistic freedom for the designers to create designs that simply wouldn’t have been possible before or by using another type of material and this has changed the manufacturing flexibility means to enable the designers to work easily on the Line to create bespoke designs for customers.
This bathroom suits the modern apartment or house. Gone are heavy designs and detailed carvings and say hello to simple lines that visually enlarge a bathroom. Ideal for a modern and cosmopolitan couple that has a keen eye for art and a strong sense of identity.
