Choose a Hand Painted Bathroom Basin to Get a Custom Look for Your Loo

November 1, 2012 by

If you have decided to outfit your master bathroom or powder room in a very traditional look, you may not want to install a plain sink.

To do this type of designer look justice, consider a hand painted bathroom basin instead. Some companies handle custom orders if you don’t see a classic design that fits your taste available in the catalog.

There are times when the look you want to achieve doesn’t call for adding a pattern, but you need more depth of color than the standard finish from a standard fixture manufacturer can offer.

This painted sink has a Bisque finish and a Mother of Pearl glaze, and you can see that it has a richer appearance than a plain fixture you would get from a building supply store.

To tie in with a bathroom design, consider a painted bathroom basin that incorporates images of shells and seahorses. Coral is painted around the rim of the sink to complete the design.

This Greek key design is an example of how a painted embellishment would look with a basin that is not a standard shape. The detail complements the sink well, and this choice might be a safer one when the time comes to update your bathroom.

However…there is the argument that life is far too short to be practical all the time, so why not get a hand-painted sink with billiard balls on it if you want to?
