Spirals of Style: Inspiring Sets of Stairs

Here at Interior Complex, we’ve made no secret of our obsession with stairs. We’ve waxed poetic about their symbolism, their strength, and the metaphor they provide for life itself, but at the root of everything, there’s the simple fact that they’re just plain fascinating to study from an aesthetic perspective.

So, just for fun, today we’ve rounded up a quartet of visually arresting photographs from Flickr users of staircases that give us pause and make us nod. From spiral staircases in San Francisco, Portland and Greenwich to something a bit more angular (but still curvaceous) from the likes of Belgium, these images have us spinning in circles… in a good way.

Enjoy!

Those are certainly cooler than my stairs haha! Maybe I wouldn’t mind lugging laundry and kids up and down the stairs all the time if they could be THAT beautiful!

  2. You gotta love curving stairs.
