Today’s link roundup is all about the architectural designs of visionaries the world over, all working to inspire us and usher us into the future.

First, a Dutch studio called MVRDV shares its award-winning design for the China Comic and Animation Museum (above), scheduled to break ground this year in Hangzhou, China, and the fine folks of Urban Peek gives us a preview.

Next, Europe celebrates its tallest completed building: The Shard, located in London, opened to great fanfare earlier this week, as reported by World Architecture News.

Hotel Chatter shares the details of the world’s first-ever Harrod’s hotel, encompassing 300 rooms and 5.5 acres in Kuala Lumpur and marking the retailer’s global foray into the hotel business:

Elsewhere on the web, Architectural Digest ever so kindly shares its top eight picks for new romantic hotels across Italy, helping us enjoy la dolce vita for at least a few days at a time…

…and last but not least — remember Kinko’s? Its founder, Paul Orfalea, has listed his 2,000-acre Grizzly Creek Ranch at the northern edge of Yellowstone National Park. According to Curbed, it’s up for a cool $25 million… unfortunately, we’re pretty sure he isn’t accepting any Xeroxed checks for it.

Happy weekending!
