Who can forget the image of Carrie Bradshaw sitting at her desk just inside her window, typing away at her weekly column that somehow magically paid the rent on her idyllic NYC walk-up? Well, if you’ve ever dreamed of floating down the stairs and climbing into Mr. Big’s limo, now’s your chance: the five (yes, five)-bedroom West Village apartment whose facade was used to represent the exterior of Carrie’s digs is now on the market.

Although cameras led audiences to believe the apartment inhabited by Sex and the City‘s lead character, played by Sarah Jessica Parker, was a diminutive but stylish one-bedroom space, the actual living quarters inside the brownstone encompass five bedrooms, three bathrooms and more than 4,000 square feet.

The brownstone, which stands at 64 Perry Street, was constructed in 1866 by architect Richard Mook. It’s currently offered by Sotheby’s for a cool $9.65 million…no big whoop for a Charlotte or Samantha type, perhaps, but no small change for the rest of us. Anybody feel like lending us an old engagement ring to cover the cost?

I wouldnt but it if i had it. Why would anyone? To pretend that they are stars? Would they pay so much just to be a wannabe?

I gotta say not much is familiar aside from the exterior. Very beautiful home though.
