A quick word of warning: this feature isn’t well-suited for the more paranoid among us. For those of us who — to coin a phrase from 1980s singer Rockwell — always feel like somebody’s watching us, the black and white wall covering entitled “I See You” is a worst nightmare come true.
For the rest of us — particularly those with a roaring appreciation for snark and high threshold for offense — it’s a fresh and comical home accent that never ceases to entertain.
The wallpaper, which comes in 27-inch rolls, features “googly eyes peering in every direction.” The pattern, presented on hand-screened paper, has enough white space between each set of eyes to accommodate custom drawings. Hung in a bathroom, for example, guests can leave their own personal touch behind with a dash of good humor.
Cavern, the boutique wallpaper design firm behind the sensation, is based in New York and Los Angeles. Orders for “I See You” as well as the firm’s other designs can be ordered directly through its website and via select showrooms around the world.
