Balancing kid’s toy storage with parent’s aesthetics can sometimes be a challenge when designing a room. Bins are a popular choice for organization because they allow toys to be easily put away by both parents and kids.
While mom’s and dads have been using large plastic bins for this type of storage for years, there are a number of ultra-attractive options that might make you down-right excited about storing toys.
For example, the industrial basket above from Restoration Hardware, offers a great option for storing toys for older tots. Its wire structure gives it a hip industrial edge which is quickly softened by its natural canvas liner. The block lettering makes a graphic statement that both kids and adults are sure to love.
Toy storage doesn’t get much cuter than the animal themed bins above from 3 Sprouts. In addition to being adorable, they are made of canvas with a polyethylene coating on the inside making them extremely durable.

Clean up just got a lot easier with the canvas bags above! The bags, from Swoop, are one of the coolest inventions we have seen in kid’s storage. They are ideal for small toys like Lego®, trains, cars, and blocks as they serve as the toy storage and play mat in one. When done playing, your little one can just cinch up the bag and viola, everything is cleaned up.
Ok, the storage above is more of a box than a bin, but it is so cool that we had to include it. We love its modern black and white aesthetics as well as the fun chalkboard lid. The wheels are also a plus, making it easy to place back in its home when it’s time for clean up.
The ombre, canvas storage bins above can be flattened or popped up making them extremely versatile for toy storage. We also love the the two loop handles for easy transport.
Made of a bamboo frame and PET recycled fabric (76% polyester/24% cotton), the storage bins above make for an earth friendly option. Their neutral, yet sophisticated aesthetic make them a timeless option for almost any decor.

Was actually looking for options for toy bins, I don’t like the hard plastic ones and here you’ve offered some great selections. Now I need to find the right size to keep all the huge Hot Wheels tracks and kits we have in one place!
Glad you liked the options Julie!
Love the bins from 3 Sprouts. But we have tons of cardboard storage boxes at home and I have been thinking of dressing them up with duct tape and then using them as storage boxes!
I’ve seen some great covered boxes lately too. Good luck with your project!
