Interesting Book Shelves for Your Favorite Written Works

October 4, 2012 by

If you love to read, you will want to make sure that your have your favorite books close by. You may decide to read several of them more than once, and each experience is different than the one before. We find that we notice different things when we read a book a second or a third time, but not every book would hold our interest for a repeat session.

These Prove shelves are made by Cresoa, a German company which is dedicated to producing unique designs for storage solutions. These inclined shelves can be used for books, as well as other items, and they are an interesting alternative to a standard bookshelf. The unit isn’t overly large, so you wouldn’t be able to use it for a huge book collection, but it could do for your favorite items.

If you like to keep track of which books you have read and the ones you have yet to discover, check out this self-balancing wall shelf. As you remove or change levels from one side to the other, the unit automatically changes so it is always in balance.

Have you ever wished you could escape into your favorite book? This bookshelf/reading cave gets you close to that idea. Designer Sakura Adachi has created a cave where you can relax and get comfortable to have some much-needed “me” time.

This bookshelf is available in child and adult sizes and can be used as a divider to create your own personal reading space. We think we know what we want for Christmas….would you ever sit in a bookshelf cave and read?

Love that last one with the little ‘reading hole’; do you think it’s as comfy as it looks?

My only criticism is that I don’t really like the colour of the shelves themselves. I often think that shade of wood looks quite cheap. I think I’d prefer it either in a much darker shade of wood, or even painted a bright colour.

I think this would look fantastic if it took up an entire wall of a room too. Hmmmm ideas!

Yeah, I love the concept in that last photo, too. WANT!
