By Alicia Wishart, these 20 bright and cheerful animal paintings have an almost surrealist and psychedelic look, yet at the same time are uncannily life like.

Alicia leads what she calls a, “silly life”, surrounded by her favourite cartoon characters, Garfield & Bugs Bunny. She has always had house pets, and at one time had twelve aquariums full of fish set up in her room. It was from these subjects and her love of cartoon styles that she found her unique style of animal paintings.

When she decided to pursue an artists life, it seemed only natural to merge the colours of her favourite cartoons with her love of animals. The result is a bold look that adds a warm and cheerful appearance to the wall with which it is hung.
